Cherokee County Public Library

I went by to pick up some tax forms, since April the 15th is right around the corner. There were two women working behind the counter. They were both cheerful and helpful. After one of the ladies showed me where the forms were, she also explained the instruction booklets that went with each form. After retrieving the forms I went back up to the front counter and enquired about borrowing a book from a different library. I knew they didn’t have the book because I had checked online and knew where the book was available at and where it wasn’t. She explained that they can have any book sent (borrowed) to the library of your choice, as long as the supplying library was in the same state as the library requesting the book. With a wide range of books there's definitely a book for everyone. Each section they are constantly working on growing and finding new books for the patrons to enjoy! There is constantly a variety of programs and classes going on for all age groups, with flyers and brochures with information on all the various programs that are going on at the library. The workers are always happy to help and will always try to answer your questions as best as they possibly can. A large genealogy department is also a great benefit to have in this area, where people from all over come to research their family histories. There is something for everyone here!

The staff are so kind and welcoming, and always helpful! I am a member of the local DAR chapter, and the library is so accommodating for our meetings and genealogy research. The library's genealogy room is extremely impressive!

I go here often for their awesome book sales. The selection is always changing and I love it. If I find myself needing services such a fax, print, etc I can come here and do it in a quiet and relaxed atmosphere. Definetly check out this little library with big selections at least once! I promise you'll be coming back.

Cherokee County Public Library staff is knowledgeable and efficient. For a small town library, they offer many services and resources to the community ---from a large genealogy department to computer access to a wide range of fiction and non-fiction and audios! There's even a large print section! There are many programs for children, including weekly storytime and the summer reading program. If they don't have a particular topic or book you're searching for -- they always try their best to obtain what you're searching for. Don't be afraid to ask!
