Chennai Tiffins

I had dinner at Chennai Tiffins tonight, and it was such a great experience! The food was incredibly fresh and truly authentic South Indian cuisine. Every dish was full of flavor, perfectly spiced, and clearly made with care. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients. It’s easily one of the best South Indian restaurants in Rhode Island. If you’re craving authentic Indian food, I highly recommend checking it out. I’ll definitely be back!

This is the type of restaurant who doesn’t ask for reviews but yourself write a REVIEW. Hands down, the BEST parrota and Salna I’ve ever had in US. They also have wide variety of local and authentic Chennai Style foods. This is the 3rd time we’re visiting and we plan to visit again.

My family and I recently visited Chennai Tiffins, and we had an absolutely wonderful experience. We ordered the lamb vindaloo, butter chicken, saag goat, and chicken tikka, and every dish was incredibly delicious. The flavors were rich, authentic, and perfectly balanced. The lamb vindaloo had just the right amount of spice, the butter chicken was creamy and flavorful, the saag goat was tender and well-seasoned, and the chicken tikka was perfectly cooked and full of taste. The service was just as amazing as the food. She treated us like VIP guests and made us feel so welcome and comfortable throughout our visit. The hospitality truly made our experience special. I recently had the chicken thali at Chennai Tiffins, and it was amazing. I first tasted authentic South Indian food in South India, and since then I’ve tried many Indian restaurants in America, but this is the first time I’ve experienced the same authentic South Indian flavor again. I had heard my friends talk about Chennai Tiffins many times and how good the food is, so they suggested I try it. I’m really glad I did because the food was truly excellent. I will definitely be coming back. Thank you!

Great hidden gem. We picked up a bag from Too Good to Go, because we love trying new spots and it's a fairly low-risk high-reward process. Our bag was a little less than $7 and it came with plain rice, I believe a naan and a dosa, (forgive me I'm not super familiar with dish names) these fried little balls of goodness, either a butter chicken or masala type curry, and gulab jamun. We also picked up a mango lassi. Everything was so good that my partner and I finished it in about 5 minutes. Even my dog was begging for scraps. 10/10. We will absolutely be back, and as full paying customers, they absolutely deserve it. Somehow it tasted like home, which is an odd thing to say as a person who only grew up with Irish/American cuisine.
