Chemung County Vital Statistics

I lost/misplaced my birth certificate and needed it ASAP to get my real driver license so I can fly out for vacation in two weeks. But I live 7 hours from my hometown (Elmira) and Chemung Vital Statistics office. I called Vital Statistics main head quarters in Albany, NY, They said it would take 6 months to get my birth certificate if I did it by phone, online or fax or I can drive to my home town Vital statistics and pick it up there the same day, but didn't want to drive 7 hours back home. So I called Vital statistics of Chemung and talked with a young lady (Amy) and she was very helpful and pleasant, and got my birth certificate out the same day and saved my vacation! Great job Amy and Vital Statistics of Chemung!😎👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

I needed a copy of a birth certificate. They were fast, precise and moderately expensive. It took me longer to get into the building than it took me to get what I needed.
