Chela's Buffet Mexican Kitchen

This food is so good!!! Authentic homemade Mexican mama cooking - buffet style, just like my friend’s family gatherings. I eat here at least once a week. I would eat here everyday if my waist-line allowed. I’ve only been during the day when they put out traditional dishes. Fresh tamales are available upon request. Love, love, love!!!

Food was great, everything was hot and flavorful. Authentic Mexican food, not tex-mex. The music set the tone. The staff was very kind and attentive. Went at 4pm so well before dinner time but they weren't out of anything and everything appeared/tasted fresh.

The buffet food is NOT cooked as the day goes. It was prepared the night before or the early morning and reheated as they need. Everything, and I do mean EVERYTHING on the buffet was stale, hard, greasy, and tasteless. Some of the enchiladas had wax paper stuck within and through the food so it would not come out of the serving pan without taking the wax paper too. They barely put any chips on the buffet to deter anyone from taking too many. Honestly, I do not know why this place has not been shut down for food safety issues yet! I do not recommend eating here.

First time eating here, or knowing about it. Never been to a Mexican buffet, it was great, food was excellent, server was kind, helpful, and very accommodating. Authentic food from Authentic people. If you've never been here, I highly recommend checking it out.

Had tried it a few months back and it was kind of slow food was cold wasn't fresh. Went at 12:30 on a Friday this time thinking maybe this time the food will be better. Nope it was exactly the same cold and certainly not worth the money. If someone tells you this place is good, they're lying
