Chef'n It Up Pizza

So I’ve been looking forever for the perfect NY style pizza in Florida. Living in NY/NJ for half my life, I’ve been a snob on pizza. I am so glad to have finally found the NY pizza I’ve been craving for years in downtown Clermont. A huge rave for the owner Vinnie of Chef’n It Up Slice Bar. I stopped by to check it out and saw that the slices looked just like the slices back home. Tried the plain slice and it brought back all the great memories. It was so good I called my sister and bought two extra large pies to take home. My family were so happy after trying the pizza. Thank you! This great father and son establishment will bring us so much happiness. Vinny is originally from Brooklyn. He and his son are such nice guys. I absolutely love this spot. This place is one of the best pizzerias I have been to in a long time. Their sicilian pizza (one of the few places to have it) is out of this world. The chicken parm has arrived and is perfect, with al dente Linguini pasta, generous seasoning, and generous chicken proportions. The business is family owned, and the staff (including Vinnie) are amazing. Highly recommend!

My husband and I had a 16” pizza with pepperoni and bacon. SO DELICIOUS! The crust was perfectly browned and the toppings were top quality. The owner was very friendly and kept us excellent company while we shared our meal. We will definitely be back!

Never again. Seriously, the workers including the owner couldn’t be less enthused to be there. The least welcoming atmosphere downtown. You can feel the tension from the second you walk in. My family and I came in to order slices, both the owner and a young man looked at us and turned away leaving us standing there waiting…so we wait some more before we decide to go up to another worker, a young female at the register who couldn’t be bothered. Still, I don’t know why..but we order the slices. We wait, we wait and wait. As a person who grew up in the pizza business my whole life I thought it was weird that slices were taking so long. Well, no one bothered to tell us they were even ready- had them sitting on the oven for the longest time before one of the other young men asked the young lady

Probably the best pizza we have had since moving to Florida 4 years ago. Their regular slice is as NY style as it gets. Their Sicilian has a crunch and the knots… Fuggedaboudit 🤌🏻
