Chef Lance's on Phillips

My sister and I had a date night with our husbands as an annual Christmas tradition. The atmosphere at Chef Lance's is classy and cozy. Our service was exceptional, and THE FOOD!! Hands down, one of the best meals I've eaten! I had the parm crusted salmon for main course and crab cakes for an appetizer. Everything was perfect! Highly recommend!

The salmon wellington was the best thing I've eaten all year. So decadent and I want to put the sauce on everything. The puff pastry around everything was crispy and buttery. Wow. 🤤 Server was on top of it. What a special dinner I enjoyed with my daughter.

My family and I are not from this area - we’re traveling foodies from Michigan. This was on our list, based off of the glowing reviews we read prior to coming here and recommendations we received from others. All in all, we were disappointed. Our waitress Kendra was friendly, as was the host, but beyond this we were not pleased with our experience. I ordered the beef Wellington and was frustrated with the quality of meat (incredibly tough) and the temperature of the potatoes served with it (cold, not even room temp). It looked and smelled beautiful, but did not meet up to the expectations that I had in mind. My dad ordered the scallop pasta special and wasn’t that excited about anything but the scallops. We got crab cakes to start, they a were so good. My hubby got the steak and lobster. I got the scallop linguini. The food was delicious and extremely fresh tasting. Our server was the best, super attentive and very nice. Great experience overall.

My favorite place to dine in Sioux Falls! Great menu & monthly specials are hard to pass up. First visit? Consider the Wellington trio for 2. My favorite: Pulled-pork Wellington. IMO, the appetizers trump the dessert menu
