Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen

Great pick for a variety of solid dishes! They have a little bit of everything with large portions and reasonable prices. The buttered croissants that come with your meal melt in your mouth and taste so fresh and warm. There’s also a full bar. Service is friendly and good. Worth a visit

We'd eaten at a Cheddar's restaurant once before, years ago, and enjoyed the experience. While passing through Morgantown recently, we decided to give this location a chance. We were fortunate to be seated right away, which was nice. Unfortunately though, this location did not serve us (and did not appear to be serving others) the complimentary honey butter croissants that are supposed to be a part of the Cheddar's experience (as advertised on the company website). We were also informed by our server that the restaurant was out of onions, onion rings, mushrooms, and even French fries! So, our options were much more limited than they should have been. Also, my companion pointed out that there was a bit of a foul odor inside the restaurant (so perhaps a good cleaning is in order). On the ups

Atmosphere – 4 stars Cheddar’s had a very nice atmosphere with plenty of seating both inside and out. The restaurant was clean, had a full bar, and the decor was nicely done- especially liked the large aquarium in the wall behind the bar. Outdoor seating is a nice option, and the large parking lot made access easy. The only downside was that it felt a bit too cold inside. Service – 3 stars We were seated quickly, which was a plus. However, it took nearly ten minutes before anyone came to take our drink order. Our waitress was friendly, but very slow overall. She mentioned starting us off with warm, buttery croissants—which sounded great—but unfortunately, we never received them. Food – 3 stars The highlight of the meal was definitely the Baked Potato Soup—rich, creamy, and full of flavor

Arrived approx 5pm was seated quickly at a table for 2 as requested. Our server Colby promptly took our appetizer and drink order. When he brought those he delivered the croissants that were fresh with drizzled butter. We took our time to look over the menu as it was our 1st time here and he never seemed upset by the wait. My friend ordered the Keywest chicken and shrimp with the pinapple picao on the side. Her 2 sides were loaded baked potatoe and salad. My order was the veggie plater of potato soup with 4 sides. The sides were broccoli with shredded cheese, green beans, buttered corn, baked potato with just butter. We had also got the Queso and homade salsa with chips as our app. We would recommend these meals again 10 out of 10. Overall this was the best experience we could have asked f
