The service is great. The waiters and waitresses are very helpful and friendly, which is why they deserve a 25% tip. The atmosphere is okay, and the food is better than I expected. Even though I’m not a vegan, I still enjoyed it. The prices are competitive but not inexpensive. For four people, you’ll spend over $110 for lunch, not including tip—especially if you’re giving a 25% tip. So if you’re looking for something inexpensive, this is not the place. However, if you’re looking for good service and decent food, this is a great place to meet up. I have to say, there isn’t another Vietnamese vegan restaurant in the DMV that outperforms this place, at least that I know of.

Even though I’m not vegetarian, I really enjoyed the food here. Everything tasted fresh and well seasoned, and the dishes stood on their own instead of feeling like substitutes for something else. The location is convenient with plenty of parking, so it’s easy to stop by without planning ahead. Service was polite and fast, and the whole visit felt smooth and relaxed. A place I'll gladly come back to.

Mr. T and his staff are awesome! Very welcoming and friendly. Don't usually get vegetarian food, however, Mr. T recommended the heavenly fried rice and I'm definitely going again to get more. Very flavorful, each bite has a bit of savory and sweetness to it. The Vietnamese iced coffee is also very strong!

If you’re craving flavorful Vietnamese vegetarian food, Chay Vegetarian is a must-try! We came during dinner time when the restaurant gets pretty busy, but service was still fast, friendly, and attentive. Their popular bún đậu mắm tôm did not disappoint — everything tasted incredibly good, fresh, and full of authentic Vietnamese flavors. Portions here are huge, which makes the already affordable prices even better. We ordered two appetizers, a Diet Coke, and three large main dishes, and our total was only $85. Such a great deal for the amount of food and quality you get! The restaurant itself isn’t very big, but they can still comfortably seat a group of 5–6 people. I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! The vegan and vegetarian options are so incredible, flavorful, and filling! The decor is gorgeous a the owner himself took time to chat with us. The staff are happy and attentive and they’re so busy and beloved they’re opening a new location!! Wish I could give 10 stars!! Incredible tea too!
