Chateau coffee shop

This small old school coffee shop by the LIRR had really great fresh food and service and they kept it clean years ago when Sandy and Larry were there. I also was there when a guy named Jimmy was in charge after Sandy and Larry moved. He was also great, on top of everything, a hard worker and a delicious dinner cook. All the staff were hard workers, very nice, and gave great fast service. I don't go often but do every now and then for many years. I recently went the beginning of September and discovered Jimmy no longer there and they had a lot of new staff and not all were too friendly. They food taste a bit different not as good or fresh as in the past, but still pretty good! Prices are higher but everywhere they raised prices also. It seems you get less food than before. Its disappointin

A very good place to try. Service is great and the atmosphere is calm. The creamy tomato soup is a favorite. For two people ordering meals along with a side soup and hot chocolate, the total was under $20. I ordered lunch for breakfast. Right next to the long island railroad woodmere stop.

I love this place. The interior is a flashback to a 1950s coffee shop. I had a cup of split pea soup which was nice and thick. Afterwards I had a chicken salad sandwich on toasted whole wheat was very good. The service was great and friendly. If you like going to an old fashioned coffee shop this is a great place to go.

Why is a small, NOT loaded Tuna Melt on a English muffin with nothing else $14.50 ? $4.00 extra for fries. $18.50 for a Tuna melt plate in a coffee shop. I asked if this was a mistake, they said no. It's correct......Okay ridiculous Thank you

Never disappoints! Great lunch, great service, always a great atmosphere. Forever a customer!
