Charlie's BBQ

The store is quite hidden so not much traffic even during peak hours at lunch. This means not much line to expect. The food is cheaper than normal price, and there are plenty of seating. It makes the overall experience quite pleasant. I would definitely go back if I am running errands near this place again.

Ordered a takeout order. Only half of the food was delivered. Ordered 2 drinks, only 1 arrived. Sausage was not great quality. Baked beans were canned and tasted as though they were simply reheated. Macaroni and cheese had no cheese. Creamy white sauce and soggy macaroni. Maybe I caught them on an off night. So disappointing.

The barbecue with straight trash. No smoke ring whatsoever in the meat. The brisket was tough and had no pull to it. Do sausage taste like it came out of the oven. The chicken was dry. The charro beans have no flavor at all. I packed it all up within 5 minutes of sitting down the price was good but it was a lockdown

Fantastic truly local barbecue place. Brisket is amazing. All the sides I tried were delicious - when I don’t feel like meat this would be the perfect vegetable plate. Peach cobbler is to die for. I was there at 2pm so the lunch crowd was starting to thin out. If you are local it would be a good go to for catering also.

Overall, the food was good. I have been there before and tried other sides. I guess my favorite here is the coleslaw. They offer an excellent fresh display of fixings for your BBQ plate, pickles, onions, and carrots! For some reason, we sat in the 6 when they opened a door storage like there was a strong smell of cigarette smoking. It's weird since Houston has a smoking ban.
