Charlevoix Area Community Pool

Excellent public pool with courteous staff, great Aqua x classes, open swim times and lap swim. Nice locker rooms with two private locker rooms as well. Low fee per use. No membership fee.

Rude staff! I understand having rules, but when you’re nasty to a 3 year old because instead of using the stairs, she sat on the edge and slid into the hot tub. My niece did a swim test and when she brought her head above water the lady said “you need to keep your head down, you failed”. My oldest and my niece were playing together (holding onto each other at times) they were scolded and told to be respectful. In the last month I’ve been here twice with my children and all 3 life guards we encountered were rude. Myself along with another parent (who I didn’t know) were visibly uncomfortable with the way the children were treated. I will not bring my children back here for a “fun” time, just so their staff can yell at them.. no thank you!!

Makayla was awesome! I didn’t swim, I just used the shower. Great hot private shower and only $2! Definitely the place to stop if you are camping or passing through and need a shower.

This was my families first time at this pool and everyone had a great time. The facility was extremely clean both in the locker rooms and at poolside. There were 2 lifeguards on duty and one was very attentive to everyone at the pool by asking parents the swimming ability of their children, providing lots of fun pool toys to all, and even taking the time to find some googles for my daughters. The price was definitely right for the two hours of fun my family had. When we visit again from Illinois, we will certainly come back for a swim.

Everything is awesome, the locker rooms with spin dry swimsuit dryers, showers, clean pools, and nice staff. My only two complaints are that the men's locker room smells like urine and the open public swim times are inconsistent throughout the week.
