Charlestown House of Pizza

Every thing I ordered from the menu tasted great, was FRESH, and served in large portions. Having been born and raised in Chicago, I wasn't expecting much from the pizza, but I was very pleased with the crispness of the crust, the flavor and portion of the sauce, and the cheese that was cooked to a golden brown. CHOP was very impressive.

The food was good. This restaurant is primarily a takeout however they do have seating. Regrettably, the price is posted on the sign board are not the prices that you will be charged. They overcharge. When I pointed this out to the young girl at the counter. She explained that they had not updated the sign board and then gave me a blank look after I attempted to be changed correctly. The difference wasn’t much, but it was annoying.

Called and put an order in, was told 15- 20 mins. Arrived there around 20-25 mins after and paid for the food, sat there waiting for another hour before receiving our food. Had they been busy id understand, but the workers were just standing around. 3 other customers came in that time, 0 phone calls. After getting our food it was clear it wasnt fresh out, it had been sitting. Got a steak and cheese where the cheese had been almost fully burnt and by the time I had it the meat was already room temp getting cold. This was my first time ever ordering here and it will easily be my last.

More than just pizza with plenty of Italian inspired fare on the menu. That said, we opted for the pizza, lol, which was fine. Very friendly staff and plenty of seating if you want to dine in. Beer and wine available. No table service. I would eat here again.

We were in the area while on a camping trip and we were looking for a place that included outdoor seating where we could bring our 2 dogs. Of course camping means we cannot leave our dogs behind and they are family. It was hard to find a place that could accommodate our family but then we found Charlstown House of Pizza we were so thankful. They have quite a selection of food to choose from and ice cream too. In result, The food was amazing. We selected an assortment of dishes and we left happy and full as we continued on our adventure. We would love to come back again in the future!
