Charcoal Chicken - Pakistani & Indian Cuisine

Wanted to try a new Pakistani/Indian restaurant, since I haven't been able to find a worthy spot as of yet. Glad I stumbled upon Charcoal Chicken, because the food here is absolutely amazing! The Food: I went with the "Charcoal Combo (Chicken Tikka, Chicken Seekh and Lamb Seekh)", the "Butter Chicken Biryani". Everything was amazing here. All the meats on the Charcoal Combo were cooked perfectly. The meats were so tender, flavorful and juicy. And the Butter Chicken Biryani was out of this world. Flavor from that was on point and the biryani was cooked so well. Easily one of my favorites here. The Service: Service is great. Food is always cooked on time and the staff are very friendly. Before, this restaurant was very good. The decoration was beautiful, the atmosphere was nice, and the food tasted amazing. The garlic naan used to be fresh and very flavorful. Now, unfortunately, it’s not the same. The decoration has been removed, the place doesn’t feel as welcoming, and the food doesn’t taste like before. Prices have increased, but the quality has gone down. They are now serving food in plastic disposable containers even when dining in, which makes the experience feel cheap compared to before. Very disappointed because this used to be one of my favorite places.

Dined in at this restaurant and ordered the charcoal chicken, lamb and goat Karahi with naan bread and chicken tikka as a side. I like the taste of charcoal chicken and the karahis. The spice level is perfect and delicious. Naan bread is very soft and fluffy. Chickpeas were ok and I felt that the chicken tikka could have been grilled better. Overall it’s a good place to dine in and the restaurant is renovated beautifully and was clean when I visited. The food taste is delicious and prices are reasonable.

Charcoal Chicken in Chantilly is an absolute gem! The recent remodel looks amazing, the space feels clean, bright, and welcoming. The staff deserves a standing ovation for their top-notch customer service every visit feels personal and friendly. The location couldn’t be more convenient, tucked right behind Lotte and beside India Bazaar, so it’s easy to stop by after shopping. Now let’s talk about the real star: the Kadhai Chicken. Oh boy, it’s to die for! Packed with flavor, perfectly spiced, and cooked just right. Every bite makes you go “yum yum yummm.” Only small gripe: the to-go prices on Uber Eats and DoorDash are a bit high compared to dining in. But honestly, it’s worth the trip. I’ll take any excuse to go there in person this place never disappoints!

My family eats here pretty often, but yesterday was not the day to order to go apparently. The rice was burnt and the chicken, very disappointed. It was packed very sloppy, I expected better. Even the taste was off I don't know who the cook was yesterday, but they did a terrible job. I suggest if you get a to-go order check your order before you leave the Restaurant, because this was very very disappointing. Do better, especially if your going to increase your prices.
