Chapala Mexican Restaurant

Maybe its lost its luster or there are just better restaurants. Food is good, but when the waitress cant pour draft beer and the world famous margaritas aren't special anymore, and soda is nearly the same price as a beer, why bother. Its rhetorical.

Not so clean ! Food plate was HOT but not food enchiladas were horrible the soup was good got one to go but sent the food back as it was terrible

Our hostess was anything but friendly, but our waitress was very sweet, patient and attentive. It was pretty quiet, as we went in after "lunch rush". My husband had the quarter chicken. It was tender, very tasty and seasoned well. I had carne asada, and I would never order again, or suggest! It wasnt strip steak or thi. Sliced, it was more like a chuck steak butterflies, but only 1/2. It was cooked exactly as I ordered, medium, but had no flavor and was pretty tough and grisly. The cheese and green chili dip was ON POINT AMAZING! 2 large margaritas, and I forgot how bad my steak was! Definitely have some margaritas 🍹!

my grandma and i came in for our usual weekly visit, and as always, the service from the waitstaff was amazing. our waiter was incredibly kind and attentive, and even other staff members checked in on us throughout the meal. the team on the floor showed great customer service. however, the experience with the hostess at the counter was disappointing. when we walked in, she asked how many, and i said two. she asked booth or table, but i didn’t hear her, so my grandma answered booth. from that moment on, her attitude shifted. as we were being seated, i said thank you, and she gave me an unprovoked up and down look that felt very rude and unnecessary before walking off without a word. when we checked out, i said thank you again, and she just stared at me without responding. she seemed to act

I am a fan of this GEM of a restaurant. Consistent, and delightful food is a standard. I will honestly say that their spanish rice is awesome. It is FULL of flavor.
