There was a bit of a wait, but to be honest with you I could tell why; everything I experienced told me that people love this place. The place was cozy and the service was kind all the way through. And the FOOD. My dish was so harmonious and very nearly at my spice limit (this is a good thing). Very likely top 5 tofu I've ever had. Also the lime drink was like you tightened up a pink lemonade.

Excellent food & amazing service. I was just in Thailand and the food here is authentic & delicious. They are very willing to make dietary accommodations- I got the Pad Thai without fish oil & mushrooms. I must mention that I just stumbled upon this hidden gem. I met the owner in the elevator at Whole Foods. She had a bunch of mangoes in her cart & I asked what she was making. She told me it was for her restaurant & invited me to come try it. A few hours later I showed up to pick up dinner & it was a lovely moment. I look forward to being back next time I’m in town.

We are huge Thai food fans and have eaten at just about every Thai place in Salt Lake City and the surrounding area. I don't know how we didn't hear about Chanon sooner, but it is absolutely our new favorite spot! It was not nearly busy enough for the quality of food that they served us! The atmosphere was also so inviting and they made us feel right at home. As soon as we sat down and smelled their homemade sauces we knew we would be regulars from now on. They have so many options that you can't find anywhere else in the area and the prices are incredible!! They even gave us extra sauce cups to take with us because we loved their sauces so much! Chanon thai is the BEST thai in slc. The curry is incredible, the larb is amazing and they will make it spicy if you ask nicely. These people are so incredibly kind and the food is soooo good. I've been eating here for over a decade and the consistency is on point. Love you guys, thanks for keeping my mouth so happy.

The ingredients taste fresh, they give sticky rice by default, and the food itself puts this in the top 3 thai restaurants I've been to. The portion sizes are very large and the prices very reasonable. The service is friendly and the food came out quickly despite the many other customers here. My friends and I all ordered different curries, and all were very good.
