Chamacos Tacos & Surf

The tacos here fall firmly into the "fine" category. They aren't trying to be authentic street tacos, but they don't quite nail the fusion angle either. I ordered veggies tacos, it was average, Standard size, though for the price, I expected slightly more filling and they didnt have any mild or less spicy salsa. So for me the tacos were dry and lacking flavor. I wish they had vegan options. The guacamole wasnt fresh either. Didn't enjoy as much! The kids quesadillas looked good! But again not many options for vegans.

We stopped here on a rainy Sat night on our anniversary trip to Tybee Island. Don't let the negative reviews keep you from trying this place. If you like tacos, this is a must. My favorite taco was the Baha Fish taco and my husband's was the Carne Asada. The peach margaritas were good and so was the chip sampler. Kinda pricey but we will definitely return on our next trip.

My entire family loved this place. The chip sampler. We all agreed the queso was very good. Our baja fish and shrimp street tacos were so good. My son ordered the carnita Street Taco and refused to share. My husband & I loved the peach margaritas.

We stopped in for lunch on Mother's Day, we were in town from Florida. Absolutely loved the surfer vibe and laid back atmosphere. The chips, salsa, and queso were literally some of the best I've ever had. Honestly, I've had my fair share of taco bowls in my day, but nothing, and I mean nothing, even comes close to what Chamacos is serving up. It's the kind of dish you'll be dreaming about long after you've left Tybee. I already want another one! The carne asada was tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection! The bowl was so vibrant from all the food colors! So, do yourself a favor and make Chamacos a priority on your next trip. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you. Their taco bowls? They're not just good, they're a culinary revelation! Go get one – you won't regret it!

Taco Tuesday!! All day on Tuesday discounts on Tacos and Drinks. The street tacos are generously filled. We tried the chicken, pork, and brisket tacos. Fresh and delicious. The lime margarita on the rocks was served with a salty & spicy rim. Strong . No fake mixers with high- fructose corn syrup! Tequila, lime and agave. Service was speedy, staff efficient and friendly. Two margaritas each and we felt happy. Two tacos each and left with full tummies. Check it out. We are definitely going back.
