He is genuinely friendly and clearly puts passion into every single item he serves. The food here is outstanding—every dish I've tried is packed with incredible, authentic flavor that tastes homemade. However, you simply cannot leave without trying the chai; it is perfectly spiced and easily the best I've had from any food truck. I had the pleasure of visiting Chai Mahal in Birmingham, and it was an excellent experience! The food truck is clean, easy to find, and has a warm, welcoming vibe. The chai was rich, perfectly spiced, and served hot just the way it should be. Their food is 100% halal, and you can really taste the freshness and quality in every bite. The flavors are authentic, portions are generous, and everything feels made with care. The service was outstanding friendly, patient, and quick to answer questions about the menu. Chai is pretty mediocre and the food is disappointing. Since the other food truck by Wilson’s market closed, I miss them so much! I’ve been going crazy trying to find something good to eat. So I was excited when chai mahal opened up! The service and owner is very nice and accommodating. Aunty is very pleasant. Me and my friends have been going for a month trying all the different foods she comes up with. In all honesty, I haven’t liked anything so far. All the food is flavorless and cheap. She should increase her prices by 2-3 dollars and serve quality. I was hoping this would become our spot. But with the limited options and random hours of operation, I’ll have to keep searching. Not a lot of good halal options in southside.

Hidden Gem with Incredible Food and Hospitality Absolutely amazing food! The family who runs this food truck is incredibly welcoming. Even though I’m not familiar with their culture or cuisine, they took the time to ask about my preferences and recommended the perfect dish for me. To top it off, they offered a complimentary tea that was smooth, rich, and almost like a mocha latte, just without being too sweet or overwhelming. It was the perfect finishing touch to an already great experience. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area. You’ll leave full, happy, and wanting to come back.
