Had the pleasure of dining at Chaak, and since I knew I’d be in the area that day, I decided it was best to make reservations. We arrived about 15-20 minutes early because we weren’t sure how busy it would be. When we walked in, it was surprisingly slow, which was odd, the maitre d took a good minute to seat us. There were plenty of available tables, but she decided to wait until exactly 6:30, which felt a bit off. Our server also took a while, maybe another 10-15 minutes to arrive, but at least someone was pouring water in the meantime. After some time, Lyndsay came over apologizing, explaining she was busy cleaning up broken wine bottles? Once that was sorted, everything got much better. We ordered the bone-in NY steak, octopus (pulpo asado), esquites, and finally the Bombas! Everythin

The restaurant has a full bat and staff that's attentive to our requests. Take their suggestions and you won't be disappointed. Pair your food with their seasonal cocktails or the IPAs and you can't go wrong. Their shrimp huaraches are a must try.

We got a few appetizers and didn’t get a main. Every dish was spectacular. The chayote was done superbly. The clams were so fresh and the broth was unusual but fabulous. The pork belly tacos were tangy and wonderful. Although we didn’t order a main, I did overhear people at the adjacent table who were raving about their mains - they had ordered the branzino, pork and chicken. The service was great. Ryan was very friendly and attentive.

We came here to celebrate the beginning of 2026. Had a wonderful experience with the food and services. Food portion is quite big and we couldn’t even finish the 2nd entry after two appetizers. But we still ordered the dessert to conclude the meal. Server was very considerate as she saw we having four people, so she suggested us to add the fourth taco with only $3 extra. Overall price was very reasonable for the lunch. We will definitely come back to try their dinner menu.

Chaak has had my heart from the very first time I stepped through the door. 🤍 Hands down one of my absolute favorite dining experiences—and without question some of the most delicious food you’ll find in Orange County. The majority of their wine list features Mexican wines, and they are truly to die for. We paired a Rosé and a Cabernet with several standout dishes—from the carne crudo and pulpo to the chayote and hongos. Every bite was thoughtful, bold, and unforgettable. It’s no surprise they’ve earned a Michelin Star for 2025. An extraordinary restaurant in every sense. ✨🍷🍽️
