Central Station Bar & Grill

After arriving in Dodge City after a long road trip, we decided on this restaurant for dinner. As soon as I sat down and reviewed the menu options, I lowered my expectations. The price of an entree is a dead giveaway as to what quality you can expect, and in this case, the items were very much on the low side. If you have a palate for quality ingredients and creatively prepared meals, you've come to the wrong place. This is essentially cafeteria-quality food. I ordered the "chicken parmigiana," and after a reasonable wait time, my plate arrived. Yuck. The sauce tasted like cane sugar, salt, and ketchup (bulk sauce from a low-cost supplier?), the pasta was bland and mushy, and the piece de resistance was a breaded chicken patty (not a fresh chicken breast!) that tasted like a previou

I had the quesadilla with shredded beef, it was delicious, they were not stingy with the meat. I ordered the nachos for an appetizer it was a large portion. It can definitely be a meal. Our server was very attentive, and the Ambient was lively.

I wasn't expecting this when we stopped on a road trip thru Dodge. Very cool place. Obviously train themed but they way under play that they have a full sized train dining car inside and a box car was used to make restrooms. Go wandering in this place. All kinds of cool stufc

Wonderul experience, food was so well cooked. Staff was extremely friendly and the owner was wonderful and welcoming. We'll definitely be back when we visit next.

Excellent steak dinner here. The ribeye I had was seasoned just right and cooked perfectly. The portions were great; enough to enjoy them but nothing was so big that it took away from other parts. I was there about an hour before closing on a Monday and it was quiet and not overly busy. The atmosphere is great here and I think overall it beats Cowboy Capital handily in food quality. It's not as close by the hotel but still worth the short additional drive for the food and service. I will definitely go back there again.
