Central Rappahannock Regional Library Snow Branch

Located around the side of the Marshall Center, the Snow branch is a fairly small facility, especially compared to other branches in the CRRL system. It's squeezed into the library and hallway of the old Spotsylvania school building. It's a little strange to see. But it does have a good collection of books and movies, magazines, free WiFi, and several terminals for internet access. Sitting there for a while, you realize how much internet support they provide for some of the more rural residents of the Spotsylvania area. The staff is friendly, and very eager to help, and can assist you with requesting items from the other branches. They also have a children's room, and some meeting rooms. Overall, a very nice place, and conveniently located in the middle of Spotsylvania.

Staff is really nice! My daughter and son love this library so much! My daughter wants to do community service (for high school advanced diploma and help with college applications/entrance) at this location because of how help the ladies are! Thanks for sharing your love of books and reading with my children!

Apparently they delete negative reviews so beware of that. I take my kids here from time to time but prefer the downtown & Salem church locations, only because we’re near those the most. A few weeks back, I witnessed a situation here between two employees that made me really uncomfortable. I shared a review explaining what I saw & it’s just magically gone. Without sharing too much information, a woman I believe to be some sort of supervisor was really unkind to another employee. Without being blatantly racist, it was absolutely giving racism. We are in America 2025. Read the room. We collectively have to maintain ZERO tolerance for prejudice against any people, but especially a minority, coming from a white woman, yuck yuck yuck. It stressed me out and I haven’t stopped thinking about that

Our very first visit 6 months ago was not very exciting. It was a long process to get a library card and the librarian would not answer my questions, but repeated “everything is in this flyer “. But the time we made an appointments for a notary we went and we were told they actually don’t have one we could use…but sent us on a search for a certain man who could help. The next time we went to pick up books on hold and the librarian this time seem like she really was there to help. Explained the whole process of holding and checking out, etc. Today I called for my daughter looking to check out a game they advertise and we got a very kind and helpful librarian who took our info and said she’d call when she knew about it. Each visit and interaction with this library has gotten better consecuti

Although the Snow branch is a smaller library, I still left with 6 books and will be back in 2 weeks for more! It was clean, quiet, and filled with books! :) I appreciated the Covid-19 precautions and the self checkout kiosks as well.
