Central Park Boathouse

Beautiful location, with excellent service, and yummy food. The only issue I had is their prices which is why I only gave them 4 stars. Come on now, $6 for a small cup of coffee, can't remember how much for a bottle of sparkling water, and, I think, they charged $15-$17 for a little bit of Kahlua! The lunch food prices were more reasonable though. Overall, tasty food, prime location, and great service! The Boathouse was also very accommodating with us, providing us a table without a reservation! :) Would I go again? Yes! But I'd definitely skip the drinks next time because those drinks doubled our bill.

We had such a wonderful experience at the Central Park Boathouse on Friday, September 26! Our waiter, Jim, was extremely friendly and warm, which made the evening even more special. We ordered pasta and wine, and with the perfect weather, the windows were open so we could enjoy the fresh air and a stunning view over the lake toward Bethesda Fountain. The entire setting felt magical, like something out of a movie, showing off why New York City is such an amazing place. The walk to and from the restaurant was just as enjoyable—peaceful and relaxing through the park, with the bonus of stumbling upon a lively group salsa dancing event on the way home. Family lunch. The service was perfect. The starter salad was great. We ordered medium well done Burger, kids burger and Toasted Turkey sandwich, that was supposed to have brie and apple in it, but did not have either. The burger was definitely too well done, but we were so hungry that we ate it. The Management happily took care of the turkey sandwich. It was dining with a view.

The staff members are very friendly and professional… every customer walking out very happy … the clam chowders soup Sooooooo yummy … first bite has already touched my heart! I me as the no snap no eat person just remember to take a picture when I almost done with the clam chowder soup …the linguini is highlighted with huge fresh shrimps and seasoned to perfection… Marc the manager very patient to address my concerns…
