Cedar River Seafood

Really like this place. For seating, there is a good mixture of booths or tables. Server was courteous and prompt. The food is outstanding. I had the flounder dinner, and just loved it. Portion size was huge. All you can eat options are a great value for just a few cents more than the regular dinner plate. Will definitely return!

I drove from my home near Fort Lauderdale to this restaurant in Leesburg 🚗. I used to eat at the original Cedar River location and the other Jacksonville locations. I came back many times after I moved from Jax. I did find their location in Middleburg and enjoyed that as well. Luckily this place is closer to my house. As expected, I enjoyed my meal of 3-dozen fried shrimp 🍤 along with collard greens and green beans. The included hushpuppies were tasty as well. I washed it all down with three huge glasses of tea. The service was excellent and I bought a t-shirt.

It's your typical fried seafood place. That's not bad, the food is very good. It's mostly a fried menu so know that when you go there. The waitress was nice and the food came quick. There's really not much more to say about it.

We've gone to Cedar River Seafood several times in the last month or so. Our last visit was Friday evening, three days ago. We arrived around 6pm and it was pretty busy, but we were able to get a booth almost immediately. Each time has been similar, a little crowded but not a long wait for a table. The service has been consistently friendly and attentive, even when it's busy. We are surprised by the amount and quality of the food for the price. On this occasion I ordered a SEAFARER’S COMBO for $16.50. It comes with two choices of main menu items. On this plate were deviled crab and fried calamari, with sides of lima beans and cole slaw. All of the dinners have hush puppies too. Almost every seafood item can be ordered fried, broiled, or blackened. It's a lot of food for the price, and quit

The service was absolutely wonderful and i cant complain there. However, the crab legs i order were very disappointing. They stuck to the shell, the shell was soggy and hard to crack, and they were not 100% washed before they were served/cooked. There were still traces of algae left on the legs. Needless to say, i would stay away from the crab legs. Especially after reading the other reviews, this seems to be a common problem.
