Cedar Park Public Library

The new Cedar Park Public Library is a gorgeous looking building in the new Bell District on the western side of 183 road. It has an amazing atrium with a small reception desk in the centre. There is a separate kids reading section on the first floor. Upstairs is where you will find the adults section with a lot of fiction books. The non-fiction section for history, geography science section on the right-wing is paltry by comparison and doesn't have a lot of important authors just because they are old. There is a decent biography section. Unfortunately for all the money spent on the grand building, little money seems to have been spent for the books themselves to fill up the available space with a lot of books and to have a wide variety of them. What a beautiful library with a decent selection of books! This library has so many amenities including classrooms, a hi-tech makerspace, messy makerspace, collaboration reserved rooms, reading room, porches, "library of things" (games, stem kits, craft kits, book club to go), teen area, computers, printers, event space, youth activity room, kids area (crawling space, toys, books, tablets, computers, snacks allowed just not meals), and a comfort /nursing room. There is also a little Redhorn coffee cart with coffee & snacks, the Bell Bird playground area, swings, and a walking trail. My one complaint is the terrible parking situation but at least you get your steps in. They host lots of events for all ages such as storytimes, teen classes, game nights, educational classes, etc and they do B

The Cedar Park Public Library's public sanctuary (which debuted in November) is the Urban Land Institute Austin’s “Best Public Space” of 2025. The vast, rambling building includes many reading and working spaces - alongside the stacks, in private meeting rooms, and on shaded patios. The building also affords renting board games, laptops, and 3D printers. There is an imaginative playground in the kids area and a couple more outside. The landscaping and way the building relates to its surrounding space as creative as the architecture itself. An amazing experience for the residents of Cedar Park.

The Cedar park library is a modern, updated space that offers a dedicated kids area with an indoor slide, sensory play and books for all ages. The outdoor playscape is also a great addition. Kids can easily spend 1-2 hours here without getting bored. The second floor hosts adult books and board games for check out. There are small meeting rooms available for booking too.

Looking for free summer fun for kids? Look no further than the incredible Cedar Park public library! Excellent place to spend a couple of hours with young kids. There is a big outdoor playground, an amazing indoor play area inside the kids section (literally a mini children’s museum), and an outdoor patio connected to the kids area with some more fun play stuff for kids.
