Cedar Key Public Beach

I lovee Cedar Key. It's usually pretty empty so you don't have to worry about crowds and it's 24/7 with a park for kids (or adults to relax at night) and public restrooms. The park is right on the beach too. There's plenty of little restaurants and stores to go to. It's really nice for a calm or chill day out, for singles, couples, and families.

This is the perfect beach for a day trip if you live in North Central Florida. The facilities are wonderful- ample free parking, bathhouses, picnic shelters and grills, a basketball court, and a playground. The beach itself is small but has some shady palm trees and the water is so calm. It’s an absolutely ideal spot for families with little kids. We love this little spot and are so glad we found it.

Beautiful beach, but always wear protective shoes in this kind of water.

It is an interesting beach if you can handle the soft muckiness of the water. We saw a lot of wildlife including dolphins, horseshoe crabs, pelicans and starfish. The beach and all the facilities are kept clean and in order.

Quiet area , small beach but still fun for kids. Lots of kayak and a boat launch area. Everything is right there . Playground that’s under construction. Cute shops all within walking distance. Nice fishing and kayaking !
