Very cool New England hamburger and ice cream stand. Loved the walk up ordering, the patio seating area, and the retro vibes. Food was pretty good too. Fries were great! Other food was above average. Soft serve was very good, creamy and smooth. Wish I had a place like this near me, but thankful I don’t. I’d be there all the time gaining weight.
I was disappointed by the very small serving size. I was a little surprised that a Cash only ice cream stand charged $7 for a Small Soft Serve Cone. (Without any toppings)..BUT then when they handed me this tiny little cone I was SHOCKED I had just paid $7 for it. As a frequent flyer to little roadside ice cream stands all over New England i can say this is the worst bang for my buck I've had in a long time!! (For a great deal & even better ice cream, Maple soft serve even...try out my favorite find yet. The Eldridge Family Sugar House & Ice Cream Shoppe in Tamworth NH)
We stopped by hoping to get some ice cream and notified that they only had maybe 5 or 6 flavors. I had creamsicle, mix of vanilla and orange flavors and it was pretty good. This place mostly focus on food. Lots of food choices. For the time, we were making our minds, which took a bit of time, lot's of people ordered food. It means place is popular.
Ice Cream snd sherbet cones were great. Hamburgers huge and good. French Fries had an unfortunate bitter after taste, either it’s the type of oil they use or coating the fries come with from the manufacturer. Couldn’t definitively say which. Took one star off the food for the bitter fries star for how expensive the place was. 55$ for two burgers and fries, one small and one kiddie cone.
I get their chicken tenders all the time. I was just starving and craving them on my way home. They've always been expensive - but worth the money as a treat, in my opinion. On the way home I are an ice cream which was great, but the cone was stale. Not normal for them, so I thought just a one time thing. I got home so excited, to take a bite into a chicken finger to discover they are completely different. (I have gotten their chicken fingers MULTIPLE times this season. I'm POSITIVE these are different.) I called and the girl told me they are the same. I literally would bet anything on this, as I am POSITIVE they are different. This is someone that just drove 25 mins extra on a long drive home to get them, because she knows how good they are (or used to be....) The chicken is normally a
