Cayefuego

Spacious Mexican restaurant here in Cenla. There is no shortage of Mexican cuisine in the area - Cayefuego is easily accessible, roomy, and great food. Large areas for private parties. Friendly service. Clean.

This restaurant opens late and has a great atmosphere with fake fire/ real smoke around the bar. The fajita steak and broccoli was to die for. Biria Ramen was tasty. The guacamole is real cubes of avocado with cilantro onions and lemon, not mashed and diluted with sour cream. We finished off with a tres leches that looked like a birthday cake, yet was not overly sweet. A great place to come to especially at night. Service also got better as we stayed.

Lunch here was a successful adventure. Pros: The grilled fish tacos are nearly the best I’ve ever had. Comfortable seating and very clean. Cons: The decor is dark and firelight yet the loud pop music overhead seemed to be a mismatch. Server returned with a different soda for the refill but that’s not an issue. Friendly and prompt attention otherwise. Will return. Soon.

The food is really good. I ordered the fish tacos. My first time to have them and they were tasty. My friend ordered the Texas burrito. She thoroughly enjoyed as well. I ordered an Espresso Martini. My drink was perfect. Mu friend ordered a lemon drop martini. The server was friendly. I was able to order my food in spanish which the server spoke back with me. The ambiance was fun and upbeat. We also enjoyed the DJ. HE KEPT IT ENTERTAINING.

Loved the atmosphere.Food was delicious. Hubby got steak and shrimp. Steak was top grade and cooked perfectly as ordered. Very clean and very friendly staff. We will definitely return!
