Stumbled upon this jerk grill one night… Rogers Avenue boasts of an active nightlife. After leaving The Deia, the aroma from Cavy’s smoky grill lured us in. It’s a simple and quaint restaurant, with an authentic no-frills real-deal vibe, and some of the best Jamaican food I have ever eaten in NYC! Food is energy. My first bite tasted like healing. Moved deeply enough to say a silent prayer to “bless the hands that made the food!” Can’t remember the last time I had such a warm reaction to my first bite of food! I fell in love that night — then returned the very next day for more! Yeah… the food’s that good!!! Tony does a beautiful job at Cavy’s. Pull up, support and share positive vibes!

Food : The food was very good, fresh, and authentic. The only reason I took one star away is because I ordered a side of plantains and didn’t receive it. There were only three plantains on my plate, even though I ordered an extra side, which was disappointing. That said, the food itself was still very good. Just make sure to double check your order before leaving. Service : very nice humble Jamaican people Atmosphere: very busy street bad for parking

WOW! Driving by, saw this spot. I was hungry so I wanted to give it a try, and boy, was that the best decision!! Amazing jerk chicken! Way better than Peppa’s. Definitely coming back for more!

This is hands down the best jerk chicken spot in Brooklyn. I’ve been eating here at least once a week for the last 3 years. The food is always delicious and fresh and Tony is also great guy.
