CAVA, Dupont Circle: A Chain in Retreat CAVA at Dupont Circle exemplifies how quickly a fast-casual favorite can lose its footing. We ordered two build-your-own bowls, which arrived sloppily assembled and deeply disappointing. The rice was undercooked and hard, setting a poor foundation. Ingredients tasted tired, as though they’d been sitting too long, with proteins that skewed toward chewy, fatty cuts riddled with tendons. The dining room only compounded the problem. Tables were sticky and unclean, and staff appeared disengaged despite being plentiful. During our visit, two people openly helped themselves to soda and juice while employees looked on, unmoved. The food was splendid and the employees were really nice and I really enjoyed eating there. It wasn’t too loud or too quiet. I could make a quick call and just eat my food while in peace.thank you Maria for introducing me a bit by everything in the menu ! ☺️☺️

Cava is one of my favorite “fast food” spots, so to speak. All dishes are excellent, you really can get a clean meal. Have not been a bad one yet, but not the best dine in atmosphere.

I’ve been to >10 Cavas and this is the best location in Manhattan or DC and it’s all because of Glen and Bri. They are always showing a good attitude even when I’m coming right before close (my gym closes at 10 and head over right after). They are single handedly bringing me back - I order dinner out every night and am coming here almost 5x a week now and will continue to as long as they are around. Please give them a raise, they 100% deserve it. There are few people you meet in food service who will make your day better and they are part of that small circle. Thanks guys.
