Catfish Johnny's Restaurant

I found a fav new Florida restaurant! I had the gator bites basket and my hubs had the shrimp. The bites were wonderfully tender and perfectly cooked. The coleslaw was fantastic, tasted like my grandma’s. I also loved the atmosphere in general. No frills, just good food. Lisa W was amazing! A perfect waitress -caring, attentive, and warm. My only complaint would be my husband's hush puppies. I think they put them in the oil too soon. He gave them to me to eat bc he didn't care for them and after I took a bite, I could see why. Pure grease and the inside was yellow instead of a bright white like the rest of ours. It was a very gross bite, thankfully at the end of my meal. My parents also had baskets, perch and catfish fingers. The catfish fingers were very tender. My hub’s shrimp was good,

This is a great "honey hole" to grab a bite to eat! I had the whole fried catfish. My buddy had the catfish fingers. The servers were very nice and the food came out promptly. This was my first time and I will definitely be back! Thanks for the good food and service! On my 2nd time there, they had a Brisket vegetable soup that was amazing!!

On a whim, my wife and I just took Friday afternoon from The Villages and went for a ride to find Catfish Johnny’s. We loved the drive over there from Well Point and we loved the atmosphere at Catfish Johnny’s. You feel so welcome there and Selena did an awesome job of waiting on us. The catfish fingers were great as well as the corn bites and the hush puppies and fried okra and everything. We are so glad we took the time to go over. Do yourself a favor and go find Catfish Johnny’s and have a good meal.

We had a great dinner here. Service was great and everyone was very nice and welcoming. The food was cooked just right. I had the shrimp with fries and my husband had the catfish fingers with coleslaw. The coleslaw was good. For dessert we had the homemade key lime pie and that was really limey and tasty. We will definitely come back again.

Okay they ran out of the Catfish special. No worries, catfish tenders and gator were incredible. Both so tender, unlike any I've ever had before. Fried green tomatoes are absolutely delicious and fresh, not pickled tomatoes. Bonus was sweet tea and the ladies working had all the southern charm you could handle.
