Food, service and ambience are excellent. Casual Habana Cafe does not disappoint. If you are looking for authentic, excellent Cuban cuisine with great service and drinks this is the place. Love coming here and the New Milford location..
Authentic Cuban Flavors Done Right If you're craving flavorful, authentic Cuban cuisine, Casual Habana delivers every time. The pernil and oxtail are rich, tender, and perfectly seasoned—without any gaminess. Their guacamole and appetizers are a must-try, and the cocktails and sangria are refreshingly well-crafted. You can taste the freshness in every bite—from the savory beans to the perfectly cooked fish. It’s a place where quality meets tradition. The atmosphere is lively yet relaxed, and the staff truly goes above and beyond—attentive, kind, and always ready to help. While parking is mostly street-only, it's well worth the visit. Definitely one of the best Cuban spots around.
UPDATE June 24, 2025: Came back and had the coconut crusted mahi mahi which was fantastic. Juan was our server this time and he was very attentive. We also tried the manchego and spinach empanadas as an appetizer and they were great. Saturday in early June 2025 Great place for a good dinner, great drinks, and great service for reasonable prices. We had the corvina ceviche w/cherimoya and the corvina en guatabera de platano (plantain crusted corvina), Yuka frita, and the dirty rice. All of these dishes were amazing, except the ceviche which was very bland and disappointing. However, everything else was fantastic so I'll definitely will be coming back here.
We always came here for the service because of Juan Pablo & the food. Though he’s no longer there, we take care of by Matthew tonight. My pulpo à la plancha was missing the mojo but other than that, food was tasty. Always good salsa music. Good date night spot
We went to eat here on a late Sunday afternoon. It was Labor Day weekend so it was on the quiet side. They gave us a warm greeting and seated us right away. The music was in the background loud enough to enjoy without being overbearing. We were able To converse at a normal tone of voice. We love that. We ordered croquetas and Tamales. As you can see in the photos, the ham croquettes, had real ham and the tamales came with masitas that were cooked perfect. Then came our meals, i ordered Rabo Encendido, which I have not had it this good in over 25 years! It tasted just like my grandmother’s and I had to make sure to suck all the meat and fat off the bone! There was sauce left over which I mixed with my rice and black beans. It was heaven for me. My wife ordered Arroz Frito con Camarones. She
