Casitas at Madrona Ranch - The Casita

Stayed here during covid (now 5 years ago) and it still holds a special place in my heart. I will never for get our amazing hosts and how much they treated us like family when the whole world shut down. This family changed my life with their love and kindness. The home was immaculate, the property a little slice of heaven and there's so much to see and do close by (even when most things weren't open).

This is a wonderful, peaceful accommodation. We spent a few days there and it was a wonderful base for exploring the hill country. Shirley thought of every last detail for the casita and I loved the idea of having our breakfast stocked in the casita so we could eat at our leisure. We enjoyed wild turkey and deer and although they were in a drought there was still some water. Our only objection (and I say this lightly) was the casita was so close to the main house and the parents home. We were looking for something very private and they did respect our privacy and were quiet.

Shirley and Keith are the most lovely hosts ever. I have travelled the world and been in hospitality my entire life and our stay here was such a memorable experience we decided to book our daughters wedding here. I run an very successful large premier event center and yet, what they offer is perfect for our own daughters wedding. Treat yourself for a getaway at this special place. You will be thinking about your return as soon as you leave. Keith and Shirley will be lifetime friends. They are that special.

Service was outstanding. Sheets and towels felt luxurious and nice big showers, comfortable beds that were as advertised. Building is rustic on the outside to go with the country theme. We had an excellent time. Coffee on the porch in the morning, even in the August Texas heat was relaxing and interesting with all the deer. Kitchen has a nice big table. The container with deer corn on the porch to feed the herd was an unexpected bonus. Would stay here again. Close to both Boerne and Comfort Springs where our family wedding activities were.

Literally a breath of fresh air. With our busy lives in Houston it was so nice to get away for a few days. The casita was very comfortable and the accommodations were just right. Although with that view, we didn't stay inside much. And with San Antonio and Fredericksburg just a half hour away, there was plenty to do. So much to do, that we're already planning our next trip back. Thank you Keith and Shirley for sharing your little piece of paradise with us and for making our stay that much sweeter.
