Casey's

As a loyal customer of this specific location for over 7 years, this is the only time I have ever had an issue. Unfortunately, today's experience with one employee warrants a review, as I hope the management addresses it. ​I approached the counter as usual to pick up my takeout pizza order. I told the cashier (Jesse, according to the receipt) I had an order. He abruptly refused to walk the 10 feet to the kitchen to retrieve it and told me I needed to go tell the kitchen staff myself. This forced me to step out of the line I was already in and lose my place. I would have canceled the order and left if I didn't have my hungry 6-year-old with me. ​When I returned to the counter, I asked for a receipt before the transaction, which was ignored. We ordered a pizza from this location tonight, we were told it would be a 40 minute wait. It took well over a hour for us to receive our order and when it finally arrived after multiple phone calls the pizza was smashed. Very disappointed with the service tonight.

Really sucks that I am leaving this review for my hometown Casey’s. Maybe a month ago I ordered a pizza and went into the Madrid Casey’s for the set pickup time. I stood there for about 5 minutes and then they came out and told me it will be done in a couple minutes. I watched them give it away to a different person (which was an accident and I was understanding of that). But then I proceeded to wait another 25 minutes or so for them to make me another one. When I got the pizza they told me they wrote down my info for the next time I order a pizza it will be free. Well I call today at 4:30 to order one and when the lady answered the phone she let out a big sigh when I told her I wanted to place an order for pickup. The model of what all Casey's should be like. The parking lot and store are clean, everything is well-stocked, nothing is broken for days, and most everyone there is kind, helpful, and Not a Jerk. In fact, I'll go out of my way to go to this Casey's, they're so awesome. Oh! And I don't get charged $.63 for ice water bc I buy other things there. You know, things that *aren't* a little ice and tap water.

7:55am Saturday May 17th 2025, Madrid Iowa Casey’s… almost no food in the warmers besides hash browns and maybe a biscuit & gravy, donut case 80% empty no boxes for dozens anyways, quite a few coolers not stocked, not one napkin holder had napkins…
