Casa Nova Grill (Brazilian Rodízio)

Quite possibly the worst dining experience I’ve ever had in my entire life. Do yourself a favor and go down the street and find one of the other 300 restaurants on the block. Absolute disaster right from the start. My family and I have gone to plenty of rodizio's before like Texas De Brazil, Fogo De Chao, Choripan and not once have we ever experienced anything like this. We were not only out to celebrate, but picked Casa Nova due to it only being a mile away from Prudential Center, where we were seeing a comedy show later that night. The food at the restaurant could be good, but poor management ruins the experience. The manager shows no real customer service skills and doesn’t seem to know how to handle situations properly. It’s a shame, because the place has potential, but with better management, it could improve a lot. Unbelievable lack of respect from the manager. I ended up being treated with unforgivable rudeness. I can’t believe someone with so little education and professionalism is in charge of a restaurant. Truly shameful. Tuesdays are the day to go. They have 31.95 Rodizio. Great price. All the meat you can eat and they will come back again. What they didn’t have was the grilled pineapple. They said it usually goes to waste to so they didn’t set it up. They all have a Rodizio special for lunch. The sea bass was not great according to my companion. It was a frozen fillet. Didn’t taste fresh. The Rodizio on Tuesday is their best offer. It wasn’t packed so you could hold a conversation.

I’ve noticed several reviews mentioning similar experiences, and it made me wonder, has there been a change in management? Does anyone monitor or follow up on this feedback? During our recent visit, we were assisted by a staff member (an Ecuadorian/Hispanic woman with long dark hair) who rushed our order and came across as extremely rude and visibly annoyed. Unfortunately, the drink we received was also poorly made. Service is what brings customers back, and it’s always been one of the reasons I’ve continued to visit since 2014. That’s why it’s truly disappointing to see such a decline after what appears to be changes in personnel. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and works toward restoring the welcoming experience this place used to offer.

Evando the waiter was very polite, knowledgeable and cares about his customers. Very friendly. I would recommend anyone to try the delicious food. Very nice clean and friend staff. Definitely will return specially if Evando is waitressing.
