Carter And Company

We recently discovered Carter's and it has quickly become our go to for dessert. Their cheesecakes are silky smooth and not overly sweet. The cake was sooo decadent and rich. Great menu with indoor and outdoor seating.

Today we tried the chicken salad on focaccina. Eh. Kinda tough, dry, not much flavor. The focaccina was also dry without much flavor. I don't mean whether or not spicy - paprika had been drizzled on top of the bread, but just generally ok and not exciting. We used to go to Carter's at least once a week, but the food hasn't really changed in 9 years. Pretty much same dishes. Although a number of competitors now have wonderful savory scones, they haven't done so here. The scones seem more bland than I remember from 8-9 years ago when we moved back. Perhaps they've had to stop using butter due to rising costs. It can't be easy running a bakery. On a positive note ... the cakes still are very good! And drinks are fine. Their ice cream is exceptional.

Enjoyed an orange chocolate chip ice cream cone downtown Port Orchard while visiting Seattle. So good! Good service. Pleasant experience. Clean. Friendly. Serves ice cream, chocolates, specialty cakes, and ice cream.

I love to come here. Everything is amazing 😍 I have gotten cheesecakes, cake, the mushrooms and cheese pastry, the turkey sandwich on focaccia bread and a banana split. They are always helpful! Recommend to everyone! They even have some gluten free options.

Went here twice with my 2 grandchildren. The menu of food items was limited and all were gourmet like and not really suited a meal for young children. Items all seemed to be home made and very appealing.However, I felt Carter is a great place to bring kids for an ice cream treat and there are several from which to choose. Service is only at the counter. You order and take your selection to a table.Staff is efficient and friendly. Atmosphere is informally decorated and appealing. I was able to find parking on the street immediately in front of the shop on both visits
