cartel de tacos was actually so good. the birria tacos were so juicy & crispy, and dipping them in the consomé was delicious. as for the mexican rice? super flavorful with veggie chunks & no complaints at all. and the birria fries were loaded and very addictive. overall, the place just hits. i love coming back here.

🌮 Grand Opening Review: Cartel del Taco – Coconut Creek, FL 🌮 Let me start this review the only honest way possible: this place tested my patience… and then absolutely bodied my taste buds. So yes — $1.49 tacos on grand opening day. TikTok hyped it. Coconut Creek showed up like it was a Beyoncé concert. The lines were INSANE. I’m talking “is there a hurricane coming?” level crowds. We arrived at 6:20 PM, feeling confident. Bold. Optimistic. We didn’t get our food until after 8:20 PM. Two. Full. Hours. At first, I was not happy. I was doing mental math like: “I could’ve grilled at home, eaten twice, taken a nap, and still had time to complain.” But then… the food arrived. And suddenly… I FORGAVE EVERYTHING. 🔥 Tacos al pastor? ABSOLUTE FIRE. Juicy, flavorful, straight-up disrespectful

I cannot recommend this place enough 🤎I’m a regular customer here:)) I’ve tried different menu items every time I’ve come in, and I have loved every single item. All of their tacos are fantastic, the chips and guacamole are so yummy, the papas fritas con birria are insanely good. The workers are so sweet and attentive, Gaovanna especially. She made sure we had all of our items, gave us time to look over the menu, told us about the Taco Tuesday promo, and took theeee best care of us. So much love for the staff here!! Also, there is something to eat for every person, and the portions are perfect for a date or for a family dinner 🤎 I can’t wait to come back and try something new!! :))

GREAT FOOD! We had the quesabirria tacos, birria ramen soup, and bistec encebollado and everything was absolutely delicious. The michelada was perfectly made, and the arroz con leche was the sweetest ending. Their homemade purple corn tortillas were fresh and full of flavor. The atmosphere is cute and authentically charming, and the service was truly phenomenal. We can’t wait to go back! 🌮✨

I went with my beautiful girlfriend and the food was so amazing!!! I got the birria pizza, and papa firitas con birria. She got tacos de asada and tacos de pollo. The pizza is so perfect for a big group I fear my eyes were bigger than my stomach but I took it home and my family killed what I didn't finish before the next day. Our server, Gaovanna was so sweet and everyone here was so nice, we ordered for takeout but ended up staying because the atmosphere is so lowkey but so homey and the food looked too good to wait till we got home!! DEFINITELY GO HERE!!!!! Honestly have never been treated nicer at a restaurant!!
