Carmen's Diner

Both my wife and I had eggs with hashbrowns and bacon. I ordered slice of Rye toast and my wife a bagel. My toast was delivered several minutes before my meal as was my wife's bagel. Both cold with meal. Bacon was thick and kind of chewy and hashbrowns were not very crispy at all. I ordered eggs over medium and they were over easy. This review is meant to be an FYI, not to just complain. Service was good and everyone was friendly.

What a gem! Cute local spot, atmosphere was welcoming, friendly and cozy. Food was delicious! I specifically liked their coffee was not too weak and a little on the stronger side which I appreciated (along with some flavored creamers) an entire coffee bar set up at the entrance to make your own coffee & mix in your own syrups even offering grab and go sandwiches and lunch items. My breakfast food was cooked right to order! The bacon was yummy and not overcooked. This is a wonderful place to stop in!

What a charming & delightful diner located on the corner of the quant community of Bremen in Indiana. Upon entering you are immediately greeted with smiles and the smell of fresh coffee brewing behind the counter. The decor has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Vintage inspired pieces, wooden accents, rustic aesthetics, tin paneling, mason jars, a barn door at the rear of the diner that slides open to more seating that is quieter and intimate. Carmen, the owner, is a pillar of the community. She is a strong smart businessman woman with a warm and caring personality. Likewise, her staff is friendly and respectful. Carmen also has a very supportive family that contributes to the success of her diner. Carmen’s Diner offers a variety of many different food options including gluten free dishes

Located midtown on East Plymouth and North Center Street on the corner, is a bolstering yet atmospheric little diner called "Carmen's Diner". With their signature "Take Life by the Fork" quote, it does imbue you with the sense of familiarity, home and good old fashion American dining (with a zest of Hispanic culture in certain dishes!). Walking in, you're delightfully greeted to either examine their fresh cold prepped food for the Fast, Grab & Go, or even their hot shelf (which is usually packed on Weekdays, though there's a possibility if warranted, Weekends also) which boast plenty of space for those who want something hot and fresh, ready for the on the go crowd. They also offer dining in if you so prefer (I did so), which has alot of seating from front to back, tables or even the front

I had some time to kill so decided to stop here rather than a fast food chain for breakfast. I often forget how much of a gem these little downtown dinners are. The food was good. The service was great! The Bremen downtown are was charming! Do yourself a favor, avoid the fast food line, eating in your car, getting your steering wheel greasy and dropping crumbs. Take 30 minutes and sit down at a dinner!
