Carmela's Kingston

Husband and I were out for a night and decided to eat here. What a great place. Food was excellent, the dessert, oh my was it delicious. Tiramisu 👌. Cannot wait to sneak away again and enjoy another wonderful meal. Price was well within reason.

Portions are generous and the service staff were friendly, but the overall execution fell short. A salad arrived with wilted leaves, a detail the kitchen might have overlooked. We mentioned it only when settling the bill, and no adjustment was made. In addition, the black table paper released color onto the plate when wet — not necessarily carelessness, but an indication of the quality of materials chosen. The food itself is adequate and filling, though it shows limited attention to detail or refinement. Overall, this is a practical place to stop for a meal when hungry, especially for a working lunch, rather than a destination for a more distinctive dining experience.

We regularly enjoy Carmela's and have always had a fantastic experience both with dining in and take out. The food is superb and the service is always excellent. Attentive and classy staff, valet service available, and the atmosphere is lovely. Make sure to make a reservation on busy nights. A local favorite!

This place is great! Decided to stop here for dinner around 8:00 on a Friday night. Even though it looked a bit busy, we were able to be seated right away. The service was excellent and timely, everyone working there was friendly and helpful. We ordered the mussels scampi as an appetizer, then had homemade pasta and the special stuffed sole for our entrees. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced. Convenient location, lots of parking, open late, great food, good ambience... I can't find a fault with this place. Will definitely be coming back!

We decided on a whim to stop at Carmela's for dinner on Wednesday when they have their dinner for two special. And it was great. We were sat in front of a faux fireplace that added to the ambiance. It was very comfortable. Our server, Kayla was wonderful. She made us feel welcome. We didn't feel rushed and really enjoyed the meal.
