Carlos O'Kelly's - Salina

They brought us chips and salsa. We ordered the fajita cheese crisp with no peppers and enchilada de Monterrey. Food was good. Service very good. We did not understand where the Irish fit aside from a side of mashed potatoes (the Papa's Okellys ) but it was fun.

Not sure what happened to this chain? Used to really enjoy Carlos. Hadn't been in years and dropped in recently. Ordered steak & shrimp fajitas for like $22. Steak was fine but their were maybe 5 small slivers of grilled steak. The shrimp were tiny and non-restaurant quality. For $22 I only used 2 tortillas out of the 4 provided because the meat had all been eaten. The "value" was a 1/10 and the food, being generous, was maybe a 5/10. I ordered a to go meal (baria quesadillas) and they weren't great either. Overall just felt ripped off and disappointed. Their queso and salsa is still pretty solid but that's where it ends. I think these guys are headed down the same disappointing road as other chain Tex-mex joints such as On The Border sadly. I will not be going back. There are

Had an absolute horrible experience! I asked for very light beans on my dinner item... it came out with a regular amount of beans instead. When I asked for it to be remade with light beans I got told and argued with that I either had to eat it the way it was or get it totally without beans. I've had it before multiple times with light beans! I also never got the extra salsa I asked for or a refill on my drink. So I do Not recommend going to the Salina location!!!

Server was awesome...super friendly and constantly checking in for refills of drinks and chips/ salsa. Queso was hot and only .05$ for Cinco De Mayo. Chicken Fajita Chimi was great with tons of flavor and served steaming hit.

We went there today for lunch, both orderd chicken fahitas. They were very salty! We hardly touched them. Our waitress walked past several times without checking on us. I tried to stop her several times, no luck. I finally got her stopped and asked for our check, she still never asked us anything. Also, she told us when we ordered they were out of Mexican rice. Really? Someone didn't do their job. A Mexican restaurant without Mexican rice? You need to check you recipes closer.
