I'm pregnant and was craving some fried Haitian food. I don't eat from every Haitian restaurant for many reasons of my own. I passed by this place while driving many times and looked on Google and saw and had great reviews. I was still skeptical but I called the number and spoke with a woman who took my order. $20 for a medium plate of griot. She said it came with marinade and that's all I needed to hear. My fiance drove me to go get it cause he knew not to pay with a pregnant woman and her cravings. Long story short I was happy. The food was hot, fresh and delicious. I must say, Haitian food is a hit or miss around Brooklyn. I tried this location after reading the reviews online. I am extremely satisfied everything is delicious! I got rice and beans, fried pork, and a side of plantains. Everything is seasoned perfectly! The plantains are so crisp on the outside and tender inside. This is hard to find as most places make dry brittle fried green plantains. This is a genuine review that I had to come make as I am pleasantly surprised!

Great stop for tasty, authentic Haitian cuisine. Clean. Friendly, professional staff that actually make you feel welcome and appreciated, as a customer. Fresh food. And even sustainable packaging. I've never been disappointed with the food. Their rice and beans as well as the white rice and sausse pois are great, particularly if you're a vegetarian, like I am. My only feedback might be that the portions could be a bit more generous however the overall experience has been top notch, EVERY VISIT.

Cozy and loving place. The food is Delicioussss. They treat you like you're at home. I'm from the island and this place makes me feel at home every time I visit it. Whether it is a birthday celebration, date night with your significant other, graduation, funeral, intimate small wedding reception, etc., this place is THE place for you. The owner is very flexible with your needs and makes your special night super memorable. A plus: there's a dancing floor to digest the food or get cozier with the date. Carlie's Corner is MY fave restaurant. Recommend to all! You won't regret it.

Today was my first time buying food from this fine restaurant. I had a taste for legume with lambi. Most Haitian restaurants seem to only have Haitian customers when I go so it's assumed that we all speak creole. When I told them I didn't they were still cool and friendly lol because hey not all Haitians speak the language. They didn't have legume with lambi but said they would prepare it for me... well lemme tell you that it is DELICIOUS. The lambi was cooked to perfection and so very tender and was WAY better than that expensive place in Lefferts Garden. I will definitely go back for more and have already told my friends how I love the legume.
