Captain White Seafood City

Great place to get Maryland blue crabs and shrimp, Every time I'm around the area I always stop by and get crabs. Yesterday was soo busy and traffic at their location, barely found parking maybe because it was Christmas eve and people were rushing to buy seafood for Christmas eve dinner. This time I'm giving them 4 stars only. I bought 2 doz large male crabs. I got home and some crabs were smaller than the large size and some didn't have claws. And no they did not fall inside the bag because the missing claws did not match the amount of crabs claws that was in the bottom of the bag. I had 6 clawless crabs therefore I should see 6 pairs of loose claws in the bag but only found 4. I will still come back here.

Captain White’s Seafood is absolutely fantastic! I ordered the medium male crabs and North Carolina shrimp, and for a small extra fee, they steamed everything to perfection. The crabs were sweet, juicy, and full of flavor, and the shrimp were tender, perfectly cooked, and wonderfully fresh. The seasoning was spot-on—enhancing the natural taste without overpowering it. The staff was friendly and helpful, and an added bonus is that they run specials most days, so you can enjoy great deals on already amazing seafood. Definitely a must-visit for any seafood lover! 🦀🍤✨

I had a very bad experience with Captain White’s on Sunday. To start, the employee responsible for taking orders between 4-5 pm was rude and not very pleasant. We brought a bushel of medium female crabs. What we got were crabs full of sand and seaweed. The biggest problem was the crabs were extra small. Half the size of my palm. That’s not what we ordered. Very disappointed in Captain White’s seafood. People speak highly about the quality of the seafood. Those crabs should have been left in the bay or ocean where they came from to mature in size.

I had an excellent experience at Captain White’s Seafood thanks to Douglas. I purchased two dozen crabs, and his customer service was outstanding. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful, making the entire process quick and smooth. Douglas moved efficiently without making me feel rushed and made sure everything was exactly what I needed. Service like this is what keeps customers coming back. Thank you, Douglas, for such a great experience!

As of a few days after this updated review in September I will say that the owner did reach out with a proper resolution therefore I am changing my review to reflect such. Update: 09/24/25 I reached out per the instructions below and I left a voicemail last week and I have yet to receive a response. Do with that information as you will. —————————————————————— Today I preordered a half bushel of large females and they crabs are not true to size. They are more like small. I am totally disappointed and I feel like I wasted over $100
