Captain Juel’s Seafood Market

Excellent fish market to purchase local fresh catches. We purchased blue crab, shrimp, and Mahi tuna steaks here and nothing disappointed. We prepared, steamed, and devoured the blue crab the afternoon of the purchase and steamed and grilled the rest the next evening. The fresh Mahi tuna was so much better than the frozen filets we purchase in Kansas City. Captain Juel was very helpful with advise on storing and l prepping of our chosen seafood. We will be back while vacationing this year and anytime in the We are here in the future. Her place is a must stop if you like cooking your own meals of locally fresh seafood.

Love this place the best fresh shrimp around there’s no comparison. I love their little neck clams, and their fresh catch fish. People have opinions about other places. This is my go to all the time live here for five years now don’t go anywhere else unless of course they Don’t have something I’m craving, but other than that it’s my go to

Stopped at the seafood market twice while on vacation. Dana was so helpful. The seafood is fresh. Her crab cakes are delicious. We will return in June and buy more to bring back home.

So I picture of North Carolina number one Jimmies on Capt Jueles website last night and was like darn I missed out. So I called this morning and they still had some. I asked if they could put aside a dozen for me. I went and picked them up and a dozen clams. Well I’m cooking up a storm this afternoon. Great service and nice size crabs. Clams are excellent also. Highly recommend!!!

This was our first time at this market and it will not be the last! We got 2lbs of shrimp that was deveined and heads off! So worth it. We made shrimp scampi with friends that were down from NY. They could not believe how fresh and great they tasted. So much better than buying frozen shrimp. We cannot wait to try more fish from here! Make sure you tip your fisherman!
