Captain Jerry's Seafood

Captain Jerry’s knocked it out of the park! I had the sweet tea to drink which was absolutely delicious and I’m picky about my sweet tea. We started with the calamari, and onion rings — all fresh and delicious. The hush puppies had the perfect sweetness, and the coleslaw paired so well with the crispy popcorn shrimp and flounder. The fried okra was exceptional, too — some of the best we’ve ever had! Not exaggerating when I say I was impressed! This place is a true hidden gem, and we can’t recommend it enough. Friendly service, generous portions, and everything was cooked to perfection. We’ll definitely be going back!

This past weekend was our third time in Fayetteville NC. We finally got a chance to get to Captain Jerry's. We live in Atlanta so we didn't know the dinning room closes at 10 pm and we arrived at 9:50 however they were nice enough to let us sit and eat and we enjoyed our meal. Our sever was Delgado who seem to be ready to leave but was nice enough to serve us with a smile. The only issue is one of the main reason we came to Capt Jerry is for the clam strips however they no longer are making serving the clam strips so that was a bummer. however we will be back in July and I think will will visit again.

The hostess greeted me warmly upon my arrival. My waiter was helpful in helping me decide what to order. The food arrived quickly and was fresh, delicious, and nicely portioned.

Where to begin.. I had high hopes, but we won't be going back. Parking is great, and there was no wait on a Saturday night during dinner rush. We ordered the house special - this could easily feed 2-3 people based on the portion size(was $23). The oysters were dry and massively overcooked, same with the fish. The scallops and shrimp were ok. Hush puppies were great. My kids had the catfish and didn't eat it bc it was overcooked and dry.($8) Salad and coleslaw were not fresh! Onion rings seem homemade, which is great but just fell apart and were mush. Service is good. The atmosphere needs updating. Overall, it's not great and won't be back.

Ms Elaine, Mr Spyro, Ms Nakia did an outstanding job with service today!!! I was politely greeted, presented menu options, and my food was handled with such great care!! I recommend this place 10/10 if you're in the area or planning to visit!!! Restrooms clean, dining area clean, clean music 🎶 🎶 over the loud speaker. I'm EXTREMELY PLEASED!! Will be treating myself here more often 😁
