This is my honest opinion and view of this Captain D's located on Veterans Blvd in Dublin Georgia. I visited this Captain D's on 4-17-25. Your opinion and view may differ. I walked in and was immediately waited on. The cashier was pleasant and professional. My food was delivered before I could leave the counter. My food was excellent! The place was clean. The condiment section was well stocked. They even had Styrofoam plates available, for your leftovers. The place was busy, but they were running smoothly. I was even told thank you for eating at Captain D's. I should not have to mention that, but so many places do not do that anymore. My only concern would be that the men's restroom was dirty and in need of some cleaning attention. In their defense, the place was busy and they probably
This location is delightful. I have never gotten anything fried in old oil. That is a particular disappointment common to most other locations I have visited. It ruins the whole meal. I eat at this location 2 to 3 times a week or more. The wait times at the drive thru can be excessive sometimes, but the food makes up for the inconvenience.
Captain D's is one of our goto stops when we want good food, quickly and at a reasonable price. Their $5.99 lunch specials is always a good deal and filling. We both got the $5.99 fish and chips served up with a friendly smile. Our meal was served up hot, and it was delicious. It does get busy here during the lunch and dinner hours. The ordering line can get rather long. For this reason, we patronize Captain D's during their off peak hours.
Alexia needs to work on her people skills. She is rude and does not know how to communicate with guest. I asked for the number to corporate, the manager said she didn’t know it. So clearly she knows her employees are rude and she doesn’t care. I stayed in the store an hour and my food was not ready. And when I asked about it, they responded as if it was my fault. I won’t go back if that’s how your employees act
The fish was burned. Tasted of old grease. Shrimp had old pieces on the batter where the oil hadn't been change. Hushpuppies were good along with the slaw and baked potatoes. Tea was also good. The young man that took our order was very nice . But it definitely wasn't worth 50 dollars ! Before you order ask when the oil vat was last changed! Ours at home is 100% better. We will try somewhere else next weekend, when we come back down.
