Cannon Falls Library

I have been bringing my kids to this library for almost 17 years. They are wonderful with kids of all ages. Cindy reads to the younger kids in the park in the summer and it is just wonderful. She’s so animated and keeps the kids engaged. She picks fun themes and has all kinds of props and music. My teenaged son plays Dungeons and Dragons with friends which is put on by the library from time to time. I have even joined some ladies to knit/crochet by the corner fireplace. Something for everyone!

This little library is a rare gem! Well stocked, perfectly planned out, and most of the librarians are friendly, and very helpful! I have frequented many libraries throughout MN and other states. I was glad to make my home in Cannon Falls near this library.

Staff is helpful, library has a wide variety of books. Printing and computer access are available. They also have an interactive tour of the library, which can be accessed through their site. Also, someone has to say it, so I will. Who leaves a 1 star review complaining about not being able to run and scream in a library? It’s a LIBRARY, not a Chuck E Cheese. View the 1-star review if you’ve run out of content on r/Entitledparents. UPDATE: The library now has gender neutral signage on their unisex bathrooms! Thank you for making the library an inclusive space!

I just moved here from the cities. And as an MD who almost lived his life in libraries, I can honestly tell that this was the worst library I have ever been to my entire life. The workers are waaaaaaay too loud, and the old lady on the front desk is absolutely reckless. Why do anybody have to tell you that you cant be speaking way too loud and laughing like a kid in a public library? No wonder I was the only person there. Absolutely depressing ignorant staff. Thanks for making me have to drive all the way to the cities to be able to read quietly.
