Cameo Heights Mansion

The most relaxing night ever. They really think of everything. The room was beautiful and comfortable. It was fully equipped with everything we could need or want. Breakfast was a work of art and a wonderful touch.

We stayed in the Dubai Suite, a cream-and-white room inspired by Indian culture. Pros: Great food, phenomenal massage, beautiful views, decent soundproofing for a B&B, and convenient access to nearby wineries. Cons: Overall, the property feels good, not great. Attention to detail is lacking; spelling errors in the origin story, wrong book in the wrong room, broken items labeled with sticky notes, an unstaffed front desk, a loose drawer handle, non-working tub jets, body oil stained sheets, old garbage in the right hand pocket of the provided robe, and a padded headboard that clearly needed cleaning. I searched hotels with a jacuzzi inside room and this bed and breakfast was listed under that option. I called BEFORE I drove over an hour away seeking vacancy at this establishment. We were on the road so we were calling and not playing on their website. The front desk lady made the reservation and already charged my card for the full two days I was seeking BEFORE I got there. I Indeed informed your establishment we were seeking a room for 2 adults. I never was asked about children or hence this entire situation COULD HAVE been avoided. My son is 11 months and most establishments do not count that age as another “guest”. My significant other, my small child and I arrived to the location and I went inside and discovered no one. Spent 2 nights at Cameo in early December 2025 and found it to be a wonderful experience. We had a hiccup with the room that we were in where the heating system kicked into overdrive and wouldn't shut off. The manager was very helpful, but couldn't resolve the issue so they moved us to a different room. The room was an upgrade, being on the top floor and having a great view. Also spoke to the owner as we were checking out, and she said that they had to order a part and it had not yet been delivered yet. Such things happen, and this should not be a reflection on the establishment, as they did everything they could to accommodate us. I booked as a first-time guest over the phone because the property advertised that calling after 1 p.m. would give the lowest rate. Co-owner Stacy took my reservation but didn’t ask for any details and did not apply the advertised discount. When I followed up, she seemed irritated that I even questioned the rate. After several back-and-forths and having to send screenshots from their own website, my rate was adjusted twice. It was a hassle and my first red flag, but I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. When I arrived around 5:45 p.m., there were no staff members anywhere.
