Camden County Library System: Gloucester Township Blackwood Rotary Public Library

I love taking my 2 year old grandson here. There are organized reading workshops but those were a little too crowded. So I started bringing him on days it was rainy or too cold to play outside and he and l love it. There are toys for him to play with and a few places for us to read. There is a Coloring station, a train table and computers for when he is a little older.

It is not big but I can print and copy with small money. And there are about 10 computers and kids zone. The workers are very kind.

I don’t like to complain or to be this person, but I was honestly sadly disappointed with my experience here the other day. Me and my boyfriend brought his son to our local library because we were told by multiple people that there were several different resources, vouchers, and services provided by the Blackwood library. We were told that if we wanted to access these resources, to talk to the librarians for more information. When we walked in, there was about two or three women circulating the front desk. Me and my boyfriend were checking out the sign of upcoming events they had upfront, and one of the women told us, if we needed any help, to come to the desk. My boyfriend politely told her we were looking at the sign. That was the only interaction I witnessed, that was meant to be helpfu

Excellent Library for children. Not only lots of books but building blocks and children’s computers. Pleasant staff. Library clean and well maintained.

I came to this library because I needed a quiet place to work and to think. The local cafes are too noisy with music and people talking. So disappointed that this library was not quiet at all - several adults talking loudly about their weekend and sharing their grocery lists; children loudly playing in their section; people in the restroom laughing and playing with the very loud hand drier, making it go on and off. The librarians did not stereotypically say, "Sshhh!" which I had hoped for. In addition, not many sockets to plug laptops and phones. Quiet libraries must be a thing of the past.
