California Taco Shop

Decent place, atmosphere. $12 for a Steak Taco Salad bowl, took less than 5min to get from order placement to receiving my order. Tough place to park though.

Anyone who says they love this place is 1. A liar or 2. Enjoys food that has the flavor of cardboard. Absolute WORST Mexican I’ve ever had, Taco Bell is better quality. Ordered on the kiosk and it double charged for taco rolls. ($18 instead of $8). The chicken inside the taco rolls had no seasoning whatsoever. Looks and tasted like the chicken fingers from a Chinese restaurant. Came with a puddle in watery sour cream and some “pico” (nothing but a few diced tomatoes), and gauc on top. Waited nearly 40 min for taco rolls, 2 tacos, and a burrito. The burrito was ice cold- the woman blamed it on the lettuce.

I hate to shame a local business, but this takes the cake. Ordered a burrito with no pico, extra steak, add jalapeños. These jokers added about 2-3oz of pico, normal steak, and the jalapeños tasted way off. Hot sauce on the side tasted like it was blended with a blender with a burnt out motor, and the pickled jalapeños tasted heavily salted with no hint of jalapeño flavor. I’ve tried and tried, but this place sucks. Go to Caliente Mexican Grill!!!!

Just had a revolting experience here. Paid $40 for 6 tacos between me and my girlfriend; girl who took my order was rude from the jump. She came to the table with the birria tacos we ordered and I noticed they had no dipping sauce; I’ve eaten birria tacos about 50 times not once has there not been dipping sauce, it sort of makes the tacos you know. I asked where it was and she said it wasn’t the combo so it doesn’t come with the maybe few tablespoons of dipping sauce that it usually does, I asked if I can pay for it on top of the $40 I already paid; no. I asked if there was anything I could do to get the sauce; she rudely said no. And gave no explanation. As someone who helps manage a business and works in customer service this was disturbing as the tacos weren’t nearly as good without it

So tacos are my absolute favorite food and I haven't eaten all day so I swung into the first place I saw and ordered whatever the special was. Let me tell you it was special and probably the best food I've ever eaten. The food was made fresh but didn't take long at all. The tacos were so flavorful and the crunch when I bit into them. This is my new favorite spot. I've never had anything so good.
