Calhoun House Inn & Suites

Absolutely loved our short weekend stay to ride the Polar Express and stay at the Calhoun House. The location is very walkable to the train depot, local restaurants and shops in Bryson City. The owners were readily available and very helpful showing us in and all the amenities. We asked last minute to arrive early so we could catch a Christmas Parade in town and the owners were very helpful in even giving advice on parking and avoiding road closures. Our room was very thoughtfully decorated that made it feel very homey and not generic like a hotel. Continental breakfast items from a local bakery were a great touch in our room with other breakfast items our kids enjoyed. We loved our stay and will absolutely be back!

I'm not one who typically writes reviews, but the Calhoun House Inn and Suites was simply outstanding. The location is close to a lot of restaurants and shops in Bryson City. The deck outside the room provides a nice view, and is a great place to relax. The room was spacious, clean, and very functional. Plenty of cooking utensils were available, and the room included a variety of breakfast and snack choices. The owner greeted us and gave us some tips on places to go in town.

My wife and I came to Bryson City for rafting with our family. We only spent one night at the inn but everything was great! The reservation and communication was easy and correct. The Movie Suite was decorated nicely and the amenities were nice. The owners supplied snacks, coffee, drinks, and breakfast. The morning view from the porch is beautiful and pleasant. It was a great experience and we will come back for a longer stay. We met Ed and he was super nice and had lots of great info about the area. Thank you so much for the stay!

Very comfortable, clean and convenient to downtown area! The host left food and drinks in the kitchen which was a welcome surprise. The furnishings and decorations made it as if you were staying at a friend's home. A very nice place to stay!

We recently stayed at Calhoun House for a few nights to visit Great Smoky Mountains National Park and really enjoyed it! The space was so clean and cozy, plus the kitchen was even stocked with snacks and stuff for breakfast. It’s also easy to walk to shops and restaurants in town from the inn. Overall a great spot with everything we needed for a trip to the mountains!
