Apologies this review is so late, I got married in July 2025 at Red Rocks and we wanted a simple 2 tiered cake reflective of Red Rocks. I believe the baker's name was Sarah, who was very kind and professional for each call and visit to the store. The consultation was quick and easy, sample portions are big and affordable. We showed a few inspiration photos for the cake but also gave free reign for her to be creative (and keep it simple). We absolutely loved our cake and it was so delicious! (The cake toppers were not provided by the bakery**) The cost for the cake and delivery were well below several other bakeries in the area and overall we were extremely pleased with our experience and cake.

Went to cakes by Karen for my gender reveal. Cake was delicious and looked BEAUTIFUL!! So happy with my decision and they had a two day turn around. Will definitely be back for my cake needs!

I was reluctant leaving 5 stars, because as a whole 5 stars are not deserved. My 5 stars are going to Candace, she was absolutely amazing and deserves a RAISE!!!! Christine made looking into wedding cakes seem like we were a huge bother. My now husband took the day off so we could come in and discuss our wedding cake (we called ahead and came in on a non busy day). We walked up to Christine to order our cake a couple months before the wedding and she let out a big sigh and said well usually you order a couple days before idk why you are here now. Well we want to get this done now. She told us to look at the books then proceeded to take personal calls yelling on the phone with her kids and a guy the whole time. Made an order for rainbow colored cup cakes in mid July for an August pick up. Came to pick up the order and they look nothing even close to what the picture I sent them does. How do you get pink green and purple out of a rainbow colored spectrum? The cake decorator must not even been paying attention to the orders or they just don’t care. I got my money refunded for the order but how is that going to make the birthday surprise enjoyable. It’s like …. Surprise!! I got you what you didn’t ask for. I feel extremely unheard and let down. This will be the last time I ask for a cake or make an order with this company. Photos for reference

My daughter’s first birthday was less than a month away and I found Cakes By Karen online. I wanted a small smash cake and one larger size cake with her initials. The cakes were delivered to the party on time and they did a beautiful job with the designs to match her theme. I was satisfied with how the cakes turned out and would order from them again in the future.
