Cajun Kitchen

My hubs and I ordered the Cajun chicken and sausage pasta with fried chicken, and the jambalaya with catfish. The service was good, but for our first visit, the food didn’t really hit the spot. The pasta was difficult to eat; the noodles tasted overcooked and soggy. It was spicy, yet still lacked flavor. The fried chicken was lightly crispy, had no seasoning and was undercooked. The catfish was okay, but the jambalaya didn’t have much shrimp and tasted mostly like tomato sauce. We may give this place another try in the future, but we’re hoping for more flavor in the dishes next time.

I got the Shrimp and Sausage jambalaya combo plate with Chicken wings and a cup of gumbo. Everything was absolutely delicious. I came the first day you opened up and soo glad I came back, you added soo many items to your menu. So happy to have some flavor here in Florissant.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at Cajun Kitchen! From start to finish, it felt like a little trip back to New Orleans. What I tried: The seafood burger was outstanding — juicy, full of flavor, and perfectly balanced between the seafood and seasoning. The gumbo was rich, comforting, and packed with soul. It hit all the notes I look for in a good Cajun gumbo. The seafood egg rolls were a delightful surprise — crisp on the outside, and inside you got that fresh seafood taste with just the right amount of seasoning. Atmosphere & service: The place was spotless and beautifully kept. It felt warm, inviting, and authentic. I got the Cajun chicken and sausage pasta combo. I asked for extra spicy sauce to go with the chicken, but I didn’t even get to use it because by itself the chicken is AMAZING. The pasta is top notch food for the soul. Yes yes YES!
